JPM: PING AN Operating Profit Remains Resilient; Div. Growth Visibility and Life Recovery Support Re-rating
2026-11-02 17:06:09
JPMorgan released a research report on PING AN (02318.HK), of which 3Q results were mixed, while management disclosed during a conference call that it is confident about a recovery in the life business in 1H27. In response to the latest results performance, JPMorgan lowered its forecasts for Ping An's DPS for 2026 and 2027 to RMB2.98 and RMB3.37 respectively, representing YoY growth of 10% and 13%. The H-share dividend yield was expected to reach about 7% and 8% respectively, which could provide downside support for the share price.

The broker maintained its Overweight rating on PING AN with an unchanged TP of HKD98. It believed OPAT remains resilient, and forecast the group's core solvency adequacy ratios for the group level, life and P&C to remain above 100% through the end of 2028, supporting DPS and business growth across macro and regulatory cycles. The visibility of dividend growth and recovery in the life segment support a re-rating, while negative factors were believed to have been largely priced in.
