CN, EU Forge Consensus on HEVs, Advance Trade Talks
2026-10-12 09:13:25 China and the EU forged a consensus on China's exports of hybrid vehicles to the EU and made progress in trade negotiations in other areas, easing concerns over a trade war between the two sides. EU trade chief Maros Sefcovic said China may reduce exports of HEVs and PHEVs to the EU by more than half. The duo also reached consensus on improving market access in China for certain EU products, including auto parts and olive oil. A joint statement said the two sides also reached consensus on export controls and agreed to launch dialogue on the EU's Foreign Subsidies Regulation, which has been accused of specifically targeting Chinese companies. Trade officials from both sides agreed to meet again in March 2027 and are expected to hold a video conference in January 2027. ~ AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com | |
