Apple Reportedly Cuts Some Supplier Component Orders on Weak iPhone 18 Pro Demand

(AAPL.US) informed some suppliers to reduce component orders related to the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, as soaring chip costs forced Apple to raise prices, thereby dampening market demand, Nikkei Asia, citing sources, reported. Apple reportedly adopted a more conservative stance on shipments since early September. In wake of weaker-than-expected market demand, component orders this month were cut by 15-20% from the initially requested levels. However, because of different production cycles, the order reductions will affect some, rather than all, suppliers' October output.
