MPF Ratings: MPF Posts 1.47% Loss in Sep; Avg. Loss Per Member at HKD5,060
2026-10-07 12:22:49 MPF Ratings announced that the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) posted a 1.47% loss in September, ending its streak of positive returns. However, the system still recorded a modest positive return of 0.5% in 3Q26, marking the third consecutive quarter of positive returns, and lifting the year-to-date return to 6.2%. The MPF recorded an investment loss of 1.47% in September. In absolute terms, this represented a loss of HKD25.1 billion, equivalent to an average loss of HKD5,060 per member, narrowing the system's investment gains for 3Q26 and year-to-date to HKD8.3 billion and HKD96.9 billion respectively, equivalent to average gains per member of HKD1,667 and HKD20,161 respectively for 3Q26 and year-to-date. ~ AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com | |
