2026-10-05 10:45:39 Goldman Sachs published an APAC market report, updating its APAC CL Buy Directors' Cut stock picks by adding Panasonic (6752.JP), CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ), ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK), WEICHAI POWER (02338.HK), Food & Life (3563.JP) and Hanwha Aerospace (012450.KS), while removing Hyundai Mobis (012330.KS) and India's Maruti Suzuki India (MRTI.BO). The broker expected CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) to structurally improve its long-term earnings as it transitions from a battery cell manufacturer to an integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) supplier. China's electric vehicle (EV) battery market share was assumed to steadily rise from 46% in 2025 to 50% in 2030, while China's energy storage battery market share was forecast to double from 20% to 40%. Regarding ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK), the broker predicted recurring profit CAGR of 24% YoY from 2026 to 2028, supported by rising copper and gold prices as well as 5-12% YoY growth in gold and copper output. It was also positive on the outlook for copper supply and pricing. The 12-month target prices for the H-share and A-share are HKD51 and RMB49 respectively. The broker estimated WEICHAI POWER (02338.HK)'s earnings structure to shift toward AI data center power generation business, which was projected to account for 12% of net profit in 2025 and grow about 10x by 2028, with earnings contribution exceeding 50% of total profit, driving incremental EPS growth of more than 80% by 2028.
