Trump Negates Offering Sanctions Relief to Iran

US President Donald Trump denied reports that he had proposed sanctions relief for Iran in exchange for concessions from Tehran on its nuclear programme, as oil prices soared in early Wednesday trading.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump negated an Axios report claiming he was willing to offer sanctions relief to Tehran and unfreeze Iranian funds in exchange for Iran taking concrete steps on its nuclear programme.

Trump said that this is untrue, and he offered them nothing, describing the Axios report as a "hoax".
