2026-09-29 11:12:23 JPMorgan released a research report downgrading UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) from Overweight to Neutral, while slashing its TP for Dec 2027 to HKD74 from HKD118. Embodied AI and humanoid robotics remain a multi-year growth story, but the transition toward mainstream deployment is proving more complex and selective than many expected, the broker said, forecasting global humanoid and legged robot shipments to rise from about 60,000 units in 2026 to about 1.75 million units in 2030, while China shipments are expected to expand from about 50,000 units to 900,000 units. JPMorgan downgraded UBTECH ROBOTICS owing to expectation resets and share reductions by major pre-IPO investors including TENCENT (00700.HK). The broker also initiated coverage on YUSHU TECHNOLOGY (688836.SH) with an Underweight rating and an RMB300 TP, citing competition and regulatory scrutiny as near-term headwinds. In contrast, the broker maintained Overweight ratings on LEADER HARMONIOUS (688017.SH) and ORBBEC (688322.SH), with latest Dec 2027 TPs of RMB358 and RMB110 respectively, citing their scarcity value, competitive moats and ecosystem positioning are the most defensive. The broker's preference ranking was: LEADER HARMONIOUS and ORBBEC tied for top place (both rated Overweight) > INOVANCE TECH (300124.SZ) (rated Neutral) > YIHEDA (301029.SZ) (rated Neutral) > UBTECH ROBOTICS > ESTUN (02715.HK) and YUSHU TECHNOLOGY tied for last place (both rated Underweight). ~ AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com | |
