CN MIIT: Telecom Biz Revenue in 8M26 Falls 2.2% YoY; 5G Users Top 1.3B
2026-09-28 15:36:02 China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced that telecom business revenue in 8M26 totaled RMB1.16 trillion, down 2.2% YoY. Calculated at constant prices of the previous year, total telecom business volume rose 7.6% YoY. As of the end of August, the total number of mobile phone users of the three basic telecom operators and China Broadnet reached 1.849 billion, representing a net increment of 22.16 million from the end of last year.
