Trump Says More US-Iran Talks This Week After Rejecting Tehran Ceasefire Proposal

He stressed that Iran wants to reach a deal, but not the agreement sought by the US, adding that Iran has overestimated its leverage. Asked whether he is considering resuming attacks on Iran, Trump said that he is always considering it. Trump also said the US military is assisting large volumes of oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. Oil transported through the strait over the past weekend peaked since the outbreak of the conflict, exceeding 20 million barrels.
