MTR Extends Service Hrs Until Early Morning During Mid-Autumn Festival
2026-09-25 14:13:55 MTR CORPORATION (00066.HK) announced that it will enhance the service of various railway lines during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the following weekend (25 - 27 September 2026). On Mid-Autumn Festival, service hours of local railway lines and the Light Rail will be extended by around one and a half hours, with the last trains for different lines departing after 1am or 2am to meet passengers’ travel needs during the holidays. Starting from 3pm on Mid-Autumn Festival today (25th), train services on eight local railway lines will be gradually enhanced, with an early start for evening peak train frequencies. Trains will run at about every two minutes on these lines. The East Rail Line, Island Line and Tuen Ma Line will also run more frequent train trips during designated evening periods on that day. During the following weekend (26 - 27 September 2026), both Lok Ma Chau- and Admiralty-bound train services on the East Rail Line will be enhanced during various morning and afternoon periods.
