New applications for RMB0 phone acquisition programs will no longer be accepted. Existing users who have already signed up will not be affected, and installment contracts will remain valid. Employees of operators in multiple regions have already received notices. Customer service departments of the three major telecom operators have now confirmed the matter. CHINA TELECOM (00728.HK) customer service stated that, in order to further improve service experience, continuously optimize product processes and safeguard user rights and interests, their installment products will undergo business upgrades and acceptance of new applications will be suspended. Further announcements will be made through official channels. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) customer service said that its credit purchase product is undergoing upgrades and has been fully suspended, with no new applications being accepted. Existing customer contracts will not be affected and will continue to be executed according to original agreements.
