Among major techs, Meta's newly launched Muse AI assistant sparked market enthusiasm, boosting agent-related shares. TENCENT (00700.HK) settled the half-day up 6.6%, the best-performing blue chip, at HKD458.4, setting the peak level since mid-August. BABA-W (09988.HK) jumped up 2.93% after its T-Head unveiled the new-generation AI chip Zhenwu V900, currently the most powerful AI chip in the Zhenwu computing lineup. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) gained 2.47%. BIDU-W (09888.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) added more than 1%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) dipped 0.81% after Nomura said investigations into Meituan's online travel agency platform would likely have limited impact. Courier stocks came under pressure against the broader market trend. ZTO EXPRESS-W (02057.HK) tumbled 4.88%, the worst-performing blue chip, amid reports that Alibaba reduced holdings by selling 25 million ADRs to cash out USD500 million. Peer J&T EXPRESS-W (01519.HK) crashed 4%. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) rebounded 2.63%. Oil stocks generally retreated, with PETROCHINA (00857.HK) and CNOOC (00883.HK) each slumping more than 2%, while SINOPEC CORP (00386.HK) faded 0.56%. AI infrastructure and AI PC-related shares boomed. MONTAGE TECH (06809.HK) jumped up 9.57%; DELTON (01989.HK) skyrocketed 13.33%; HAIZHI TECH GP (02706.HK) shot up 9.15%; ILUVATAR COREX (09903.HK) rallied 6.14%; FIT HON TENG (06088.HK) escalated 5.08%; and ASMPT (00522.HK) soared 2.93%.
