Intl Oil Prices Slip 2%+ to 1 Wk+ Lows; '3 Oils' Mixed; PETROCHINA Down 1%
2026-09-21 11:26:27 Brent oil futures and New York oil futures rocked their new bottoms since September 10 this morning (21st), as the market anticipated Iran would make diplomatic efforts during this week's United Nations General Assembly, while investors also monitored the recovery in Saudi Arabia's oil exports. Brent oil futures for November delivery last dived 2.05% at USD101.74 per barrel, while New York oil futures for October delivery last slipped 2.09% at USD98.2 per barrel. Hong Kong-listed "three oils" showed mixed performance. PETROCHINA (00857.HK) last traded at HKD9.39, down 1.05%; CNOOC (00883.HK) last traded at HKD23.58, down 0.08%; SINOPEC CORP (00386.HK) last traded at HKD4.41, up 0.5%. The situation in the Middle East remains tense. Yemen's Houthi armed group, backed by Iran, launched missile and drone attacks over the weekend on Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, as well as Saudi Aramco oil facilities in the Red Sea city of Yanbu.
