GUM: MPF Total Assets Cross HKD1.7T for First Time in Aug; Funds Continue to Flow into US Equities
2026-09-18 17:08:59 GUM, an MPF market analysis company, said total assets in the MPF market grew 1.6% as of the end of August 2026 to HKD1.706 trillion, marking the first time the market size exceeded HKD1.7 trillion. In August, MPF members favored risk assets, with equity funds recording estimated net inflows of HKD1.88 billion, mainly into US equity funds, which saw monthly net inflows of HKD2.24 billion. US equities were also the most accumulated equity fund category by MPF members this year.
