2026-09-18 15:18:59 Management of ZIJIN GOLD INTL (02259.HK) reiterated its gold production target of approximately 59 tonnes for 2026, with a target to increase capacity to around 70 tonnes by 2028 through organic growth, Morgan Stanley said in a research report. Besides, the company is formulating a dividend policy, with the payout ratio to be linked to profitability. ZIJIN GOLD INTL is advancing multiple M&A projects targeting sizeable gold assets, with reserves of about 100 tonnes and annual production expected to reach around 10 tonnes, the broker noted. Priority acquisition regions include Central Asia, South America and Africa. The gold price assumption adopted when evaluating new acquisitions is USD3,000-3,500 per ounce. Meanwhile, the company estimated expansion capex for 2026-28 to range USD3.1-3.2 billion, while annual sustaining capex was expected to be USD300-500 million.
