The HSCEI wrapped up at 8,284, up 38 pts or 0.46%. The HSTECH finished at 4,317, down 2 pts or 0.06%. Among major techs, TENCENT (00700.HK) lifted 0.51%; BABA-W (09988.HK) faded 1.49%; KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) slid more than 2%. As Mainland China promoted smart home consumption, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) rallied 3.03%. For AI concept stocks, Z.AI (02513.HK) stumbled 9.08%. The company raised more than HKD70 billion through two share placements and bond issuances within less than 10 months of listing. MINIMAX-W (00100.HK) nosedived 6.52%, while XUNCE (03317.HK) plunged 7.23%. Pharmaceuticals steered the upswing. HANSOH PHARMA (03692.HK) was the best-performing blue chip, closing up 5.13%. SBP GROUP (01177.HK) rebounded 4.29% after the company spent RMB4.48 billion to acquire an additional 5% stake in Chia Tai Tianqing from its chairman, prompting Goldman Sachs to raise its TP.
