Trading in Shrs of GAC GROUP Suspended Pending Release of Inside Info
2026-09-14 12:30:22 Trading in the shares of GAC GROUP (02238.HK) on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited has been halted with effect from 9:30 a.m. today (14th), pending the release of an announcement in relation to inside information of the Company. Trading in the A shares GAC GROUP (601238.SH) has also been suspended this morning. FAW Group is advancing plans to acquire a stake in GAC GROUP (601238.SH) as part of central SOE consolidation, Chinese media reported. According to two sources familiar with the matter, FAW Group may, under the guidance of relevant authorities, obtain equity in GAC GROUP through methods such as asset transfers, with the two companies expected to form an affiliated operating relationship. The specific investment structure may still change, and FAW Group's future shareholding ratio has not yet been determined. The trading halt was arranged urgently this morning because an important announcement will be released after market close today, although the exact timing remains undecided, Yicai, posing as an investor, called GAC GROUP and staff responded.
