CN NHSA Holds Symposium on Surgical Robots
2026-09-11 16:13:58 China's National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) held a symposium on surgical robots, attended by representatives from seven domestic and overseas surgical robot manufacturers including Sinovation, MicroPort, Medtronic, Intuitive Fosun, Shenzhen Edge Medical Robotics, Tinavi and Stryker Corporation (SYK.US). Representatives from five hospitals, including Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Peking University People's Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Jishuitan Hospital and Beijing Tongren Hospital, also participated in the exchange. Overall, surgical robots are still at an early stage of innovative development. While they possess unique advantages such as precision, stability, anti-fatigue capabilities, reduced errors, multiple degrees of freedom and multi-angle visualization, they also face numerous challenges related to pricing, operational training, supporting consumables and instruments, force feedback, visual field and application scenarios.
