HKO: Tropical Cyclone Saudel Enters Within 800km of HK; Direct Threat to HK Expected to Be Limited
2026-08-28 18:03:23 The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) announced that Tropical Cyclone Saudel is moving across the inland areas of eastern China and has entered within 800 kilometres of Hong Kong. According to the present forecast, Saudel will move into inland central China tomorrow (29 August) and continue to weaken. It will maintain quite some distance from Hong Kong and its direct threat to the territory is not high.
