After the close, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) reported quarterly results that beat expectations, with its shares soaring nearly 5% in after-hours trading. This morning (27th), the HSI opened at 25,774, up 121 pts or 0.48%; the HSTECH opened at 4,665, up 39 pts or 0.85%; and the HSCEI opened at 8,573, up 39 pts or 0.47%. Major techs trended higher. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) will convert to a primary listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong starting next Tuesday, and its shares opened up 3.14%; TENCENT (00700.HK) rose 1.21%; while MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and BABA-W (09988.HK) gained less than 1%. Among blue chips, HANSOH PHARMA (03692.HK) opened up 5.29% after the company logged a 36% hike in interim profit and raised its dividend; SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK) leaped 3.83% after interim profit grew 10%; CNOOC (00883.HK) opened down 0.48% despite a record-high dividend of HKD0.94; LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) was flat at open after swinging to an interim loss of RMB3.99 billion; SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) opened up 1.36% after turning from loss to profit with earnings of RMB607 million for the half year.
