HSBC HOLDINGS Reportedly Buys At Least USD3B of Indian Govt Bonds Over Past Few Mths
2026-08-25 15:10:03 HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) purchased five-year Indian government bonds over the past few months to harbor funds obtained through Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) deposits (FCNR(B)), Bloomberg, citing sources, reported. Since July, the scale of purchases has reached at least USD3 billion. As of July 30, HSBC HOLDINGS raised USD6.3 billion through the scheme.
