2026-08-14 16:35:20 This morning (14th), the HSI opened down 177 pts before losses sharpened. It once slid 307 pts late in the session to a trough of 25,089. It closed the day at 25,116, down 279 pts or 1.1%, with full-day turnover at HKD254.179 billion; the HSTECH closed at 4,707, down 84 pts or 1.77%; and the HSCEI closed at 8,340, down 85 pts or 1.02%. JD series of companies announced results. CLSA said JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK)'s 2Q results met expectations, but its share price plunged 13.69%, making it the worst-performing blue chip of the day. JD-SW (09618.HK) tumbled 10.41%. JPMorgan said the 2Q results confirmed earnings recovery but the timing for re-rating has not yet arrived. JD HEALTH (06618.HK) dipped 0.05%. CLSA said its interim results were in line and forecast faster revenue growth in 2H26. Techs showed mixed performance. TENCENT (00700.HK) continued to fall 0.23%; MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) slid 4.44%; KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) dropped more than 1%. NTES (09999.HK) rose 1% after CLSA forecast solid gaming business performance and estimated 2Q revenue growth of 6.5%. Among blue chips, CK ASSET (01113.HK) plunged 6.44% after BofA Securities said the absence of a special dividend may disappoint the market. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) nosedived 3.11% after Victor Li said numerous uncertainties in 2H26 require greater caution. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) advanced against the market by 1.05% after CLSA and Citi said its interim dividend beat. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) reported first fiscal quarter profit far above expectations and received substantial TP hikes from multiple brokers. After surging 20% yesterday, the stock pulled back 3.72% today. SMIC (00981.HK) rallied 4.81% after Goldman Sachs said its 2Q results beat. HUA HONG GRACE (01347.HK) plummeted 11.55% after brokers said its 3Q revenue guidance missed.
