HSI Half-day Down 236 pts; JD-SW Crashes 10%; HUA HONG GRACE Plunges 12%+

This morning (14th), the HSI opened down 177 pts before losses deepened. By midday, it concluded at 25,160, down 236 pts or 0.93%, with half-day market turnover at HKD135.724 billion. The HSCEI ended at 8,354, down 71 pts or 0.85%. The HSTECH finished at 4,706, down 85 pts or 1.79%.

Stock prices of JD series of companies were subdued after earnings results release. JD-SW (09618.HK) tumbled 10.08% as JPMorgan said the 2Q results confirmed profit recovery but the timing for re-rating has not yet arrived. Although JD HEALTH (06618.HK)'s quarterly results met expectations, its stock dived 4.15%. JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK) was the worst-performing blue chip at midday, plunging 12.91%, with CLSA saying its 2Q results were in line.

Techs jumbled. TENCENT (00700.HK) rebounded 0.54%; BABA-W (09988.HK) cratered 2.38%; and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) slumped 5.53%. NTES (09999.HK) soared 2.09%, maintaining its fourth-place ranking among Chinese mobile game publishers, with shiny July revenue from its mobile game "Eggy Party".

Among blue chips, CK ASSET (01113.HK) plummeted 7.28% after BofA Securities said the absence of a special dividend could disappoint the market. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) slid 5.12% after Victor Li said numerous uncertainties in 2H26 require greater caution. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) bucked the trend to rise 1.11%, as CLSA and Citi said its dividend remained stable and interim dividend exceeded expectations. LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) reported 1FQ profit far above expectations and received substantial TP elevation from multiple brokers. After surging 20% yesterday, the stock softened today, dropping 1.66% by midday.
