Counterpoint: YMTC's 2Q NAND Flash Shipment Vol. Ranks Global No. 3 for First Time
2026-08-13 14:47:23 China's YMTC's NAND flash shipment volume toppled Japan's Kioxia (285A.JP) for the first time in 2Q, ranking third globally and narrowing the gap with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, reflecting that Chinese chipmakers are benefiting from supply tightness propelled by AI demand, market tracker Counterpoint data showed. Kioxia, which focuses on mid- to high-end memory products for US data centers, reportedly saw its shipment ranking decline due to factors including rising server-related prices. However, in terms of sales revenue, YMTC ranked fifth behind Micron Technology, Inc.
