Land Registry: Jul Residential Property Sale and Purchase Agreements Fall 22.6% YoY; Total Contract Value Down 9.6%
2026-08-04 15:21:59 The Land Registry announced that the number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in July was 6,715 (-28.8% compared with June 2026 and -6.9% compared with July 2025) The 12-month moving average for July was 7,776 (0.5% below the 12-month moving average for June 2026 but 30.2% above that for July 2025). The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements of building units in July was $51.7 billion (-37.5% compared with June 2026 and -5.3% compared with July 2025). Among the sale and purchase agreements, 4,462 were for residential units (-41.7% compared with June 2026 and -22.6% compared with July 2025).
