2026-07-20 13:02:06 CICC released a report stating that Kimi launched and open-sourced its new-generation foundation model K3 on July 16, with parameter scale reaching 2.8T, making it the world's first open-source model to reach the 3T level. Built on a hybrid linear attention mechanism and attention residual technology, it natively supports visual understanding and a million-Token context window. The broker believed K3 aligns with overseas models Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.5 in scoring and practical tests, marking another milestone for China's open-source models in catching up with leading overseas closed-source models. In CICC's opinion, China's open-source models represented by Kimi are gaining broad recognition from overseas users based on solid model capability and intelligence levels. This year, the improvement in capabilities of China's open-source models has continued to beat market expectations. DeepSeek V4, GLM 5.2 and Kimi K3 have continuously improved capabilities in foundation model scale, pre-training, post-training and reinforcement learning, with overall performance metrics and long-horizon task testing approaching leading overseas closed-source models. The broker is optimistic that more China's open-source models will continue iterative upgrades, jointly raising the upper limit of model intelligence. ~ AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com | |
