CN to Scrap Vehicle and Vessel Tax Halving Policy for Energy-efficient Vehicles from Next Yr, End Tax Exemption for Commercial BEVs
2026-07-03 17:07:10 China's Ministry of Finance, State Taxation Administration and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued an announcement on adjusting vehicle and vessel tax incentive policies for energy-efficient vehicles and new energy vehicles (NEVs). Starting from January 1, 2026, the policy of halving vehicle and vessel tax for energy-efficient vehicles will be cancelled, while the tax exemption policy for commercial BEVs, PHEVs (including REEVs) and fuel-cell commercial vehicles will also be scrapped.
