Michael Burry Shorts Micron, Warns Semis Industry Faces 30% Correction
2026-07-03 10:15:19 Michael Burry, the real-life counterpart of the protagonist in the movie 'The Big Short' and a US hedge fund manager, said he shorted Micron Technology, Inc. (MU.US) at USD1,051.87 per share. Overnight (2nd), Micron plunged 5.5% to USD975.56. Burry said South Korea's announcement last week of a major semiconductor capital expenditure plan marked the beginning of a downcycle in the semiconductor industry.
