2026-07-02 11:36:08 After incorporating brand data for NEV sales announced for June 2026, Citi estimated that overall wholesale volume in the NEV industry mounted 9% MoM and 17% YoY in June, broadly in line with market expectations. The broker noted that some brands outperformed the industry in June, including XPENG-W (09868.HK) with sales up 25% MoM; GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) up 21% MoM; LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) and GWMOTOR (02333.HK) up 14% MoM. Regarding individual company performance, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)'s June NEV sales reached 403,500 units, up 5% YoY and 5% MoM, in line. Cumulative sales for 6M26 fell 16% YoY to 1.81 million units. GEELY AUTO's total passenger vehicle wholesale volume in June rose 2% YoY and 1% MoM to 240,800 units. GEELY AUTO exported 102,900 units in June, in line with Citi's expectations, representing spike of 157% YoY and 21% MoM. Exports in 1H26 swelled 159% YoY to 474,200 units. Among nascent automakers, LEAPMOTOR's June deliveries surged 95% YoY and increased 14% MoM to 93,376 units, exceeding expectations. Citi expected the company to achieve breakeven in 2Q26. XPENG-W delivered 40,126 vehicles in June, up 16% YoY and 25% MoM. Its 2Q26 deliveries reached 103,300 units, in line with guidance of 100,000-106,000 units. NIO-SW (09866.HK) delivered 40,597 vehicles in June, up 63% YoY and 8% MoM. Its 2Q26 deliveries totaled 107,700 units, missing guidance of 110,000-115,000 units.
