HKO Issues T1, To Assess Need to Issue T3 Tmr
2026-07-02 08:00:06 The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) issued Standby Signal No. 1, indicating that a tropical cyclone now centered within about 800 kilometers of Hong Kong may affect the city. According to the present forecast, the tropical depression will intensify gradually and move in the general direction of Hainan Island today (2nd), maintaining a distance of 500 kilometers or more from Hong Kong. The Standby Signal No. 1 will remain in force today.
