CN MOF Successfully Issues EUR5B Sovereign Bonds in Luxembourg
2026-06-29 10:00:06 The News Office of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) of China announced last Friday (26th) that the Ministry of Finance, on behalf of the central government, successfully issued EUR5 billion of sovereign bonds in Luxembourg. Among them, EUR2.5 billion were five-year bonds with an issuance yield of 2.768%; EUR1.5 billion were eight-year bonds with an issuance yield of 2.966%; and EUR1 billion were 12-year bonds with an issuance yield of 3.212%. The euro-denominated sovereign bonds were overwhelmingly received by the market, with robust demand from international investors. Total subscriptions whopped EUR24.8 billion, nearly 5x the issuance size. All the bonds issued are settled in the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) operated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and will subsequently be listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. ~ AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com | |
