The HSTECH closed at 4,688 at midday, down 76.95 points or 1.61%, while the HSCEI closed at 8,265, down 110.65 points or 1.32%. Dotcom bellwethers were depressed. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) slumped more than 3%; TENCENT (00700.HK) dived 2.57% at midday; KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) tumbled 4.28%. Among blue chips, LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) bucked the trend, closing at HKD25.84 at midday, up 5.81%, the best performer in the morning session. CATL (03750.HK) rose 1.84%. LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK), CHINAHONGQIAO (01378.HK) and LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) slipped more than 6%. POP MART (09992.HK) also declined 3.45%. Kingboard series of companies were in a mixed bag.
