OpenAI CEO Said to Visit S Korea, Meet Samsung/ Kakao Executives
2026-06-11 13:47:46 OpenAI, which is advancing its IPO plans in the US, will see its CEO Sam Altman visit South Korea from 14 to 15 June to meet with parties of Samsung Electronics and Kakao, according to Yonhap News Agency. This will mark Altman’s first visit to South Korea in eight months, the report said, citing industry sources. Altman will arrive in South Korea on 14 June and hold discussions on 15 June with senior executives and employees of Samsung Electronics’ Device eXperience (DX) Division, which oversees its set business. He is expected to deliver a speech and engage in exchanges with Samsung Electronics’ management and staff. Altman will purportedly meet with Kakao representative Shina Chung to explore plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
