Historical analysis showed that major soccer tournaments tend to divert Macau players' gaming budgets, and with the expanded scale of this year's tournament, the impact could be more pronounced. Citi forecast that Macau's GGR will decline 10% YoY in June and 5% YoY in July, before rebounding swiftly, driven by a strong post-tournament event calendar. Citi stayed upbeat on Macau gaming stocks, noting that current valuations are about 2 SD below the historical average of approximately 11.4x EBITDA.
