Jacob Kam Elected HKGCC Chairman
2026-06-04 12:50:33 The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) held its annual general meeting yesterday (3rd) and elected its new chairman. Jacob Kam, Chairman of MTR CORPORATION (00066.HK) and former Vice Chairman of the Chamber, was elected to succeed Agnes Chan, who stepped down. Speaking to the media, Kam expressed full confidence in Hong Kong's economic development. He noted that despite global economic challenges in recent years, the local business community has demonstrated strong resilience and adaptability. He said he was deeply honored to be elected as Chairman and pledged to work closely with members, the business sector and the government to enhance Hong Kong's business environment and global competitiveness.
