HKELECTRIC-SS Launches Residential EV ToU Tariff Scheme
2026-06-01 12:53:29 HKELECTRIC-SS (02638.HK) announced the launch of a new Residential Electric Vehicle Time-of-Use Tariff Scheme (Residential EV ToU Tariff Scheme). This tariff scheme seeks to encourage customers to shift the time of EV-charging at residential car parks to off peak hours, in order to better manage energy costs, optimize power grid utilization for HK Electric, and support Hong Kong’s transition to a low-carbon, smart city. Beginning 1 June 2026, Hong Kong Island customers who charge their EVs at residential car parks can apply for the new Residential EV ToU Tariff Scheme. Upon successful application for the new scheme, a rebate or an additional charge will be applied based on the electricity consumption in each period of the day, as set out in the table below.
