BIDU-SW Opens 7% Higher; Citi: BIDU-SW Positioned as Leader in Emerging 'Agentic AI' Era

It last reported at HKD145.1, up 5.53%, with turnover of 2.6527 million shares, involving HKD389 million. Baidu Chairman and CEO Robin Li stated at the Baidu Create 2026 conference that AI is shifting from a model-centric era to one centered on applications and agents, Citi said in a research report. The Agentic AI era has arrived. Li introduced "Daily Active Agents" (DAAs) as a new value metric to better reflect AI productivity output. Citi believed Baidu has demonstrated and positioned itself as a leader in the emerging "Agentic AI" era, with a clear strategy to translate its technology into commercial value. At the event, Baidu launched its general-purpose intelligent agent DuMate and coding agent Miaoda. Citi believed Baidu's full-stack AI system, ranging from its proprietary Kunlunxin to its AI cloud, provides a significant competitive moat and demonstrates strong monetization channels for AI applications.
