Report: CN Domestic Optical Fiber Sees Global Order Spike; Some Product Prices Up 6.5x YTD

YOFC (06869.HK) once climbed to an intraday peak of HKD226.6, surging 10% at one point, and was last reported at HKD215.8, up 4.8%, with turnover of HKD3.202 billion. CIG (06166.HK) opened 7.6% higher at HKD132.1, hit a high of HKD133.4, then reversed to trade lower, last at HKD117.6, down 4.2%, with turnover of HKD0.8 billion. Optical fiber and cable, as key media for modern information transmission, are widely used in data communications, sensing, medical and industrial control fields. Since the beginning of this year, the optical fiber industry has shown a boom characterized by rising volume and price. According to CCTV Finance, at a fiber manufacturer in Jiangsu, staff said that in 1Q26, optical fiber product output and sales rose by more than 35% YoY, with overseas sales increasing by over 55%. Exports are mainly to regions such as North America and SE Asia.
