2026-04-14 09:37:19 The HSI opened up 268 points or 1% at 25,929. The HSCEI grew 72 points or 0.8% to 8,674. The HSTECH rose 66 points or 1.4% to 4,888. Software makers advanced along with their overseas peers. KINGSOFT (03888.HK) and KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) opened 7.2% and 5.8% higher. Among other tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK) rallied 1.9%. TENCENT (00700.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) climbed 1.1-1.5%. JD-SW (09618.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) added 0.6% and 0.2%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) leaped 3% at open. Citi predicted that strong demand for the Baidu AI Cloud infrastructure, the future spin-off and listing of Kunlunxin, and possible dividend distribution would shore up the company's share price. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) also soared 3.1%. JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK) surged 3.9% on Daiwa's estimation that its 1Q26 results could beat expectations. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) opened inclining 1.6%. Previously, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visited the company's technology park together with Chairman Lei Jun. NIO-SW (09866.HK) retreated 2.5%. Its founder William Li revealed that the carmaker aims to achieve full-year profitability in 2026.
