Global Central Banks Have Slashed USD81.5B in US Treasuries since Outbreak of Iran War

Since the outbreak of the Iran conflict at the end of February, central banks around the world have slashed USD81.5 billion in US Treasuries, with the total holdings having subsided for six weeks in a row, official data showed.

As of March 25, the total amount of US Treasuries held and managed by global central banks and other official institutions at the New York Federal Reserve shrank to USD2.69 trillion, the lowest since April 2012, data indicated.
