Foreign Investors Reportedly Withdrawing from Emerging Asian Equity Mkts
2026-03-26 15:17:16 Due to the surge in oil prices caused by the Middle East conflict, the outlook for the Asia region has been overshadowed, and global investors are preparing to withdraw from emerging Asian equity markets excluding China, according to Bloomberg. Since the Iran war began, foreign investors have sold approx. US$52 billion of Asian stocks, marking the largest monthly capital outflow from the region since 2009.
