Chinese Media: Ba Shusong Suspected in Illegal Fundraising Case, Taken for Investigation by Mainland Authorities
2026-03-26 08:15:20 According to Chinese media reports, Ba Shusong, former Managing Director and Chief China Economist at HKEX (00388.HK), is suspected of involvement in an illegal fundraising case and was taken away by the investigating authorities around March 12. The report suggests that Ba Shusong's involvement in the case may be related to an illegal fundraising case led by his student. Ba Shusong has been restricted from leaving the country for at least six months.
