Sony Releases New TVs and Soundbars, Reportedly Close to Joint Venture with TCL
2026-03-26 00:03:39 Sony (SONY.US) Group is reportedly interested in forming a joint venture with China's TCL Electronics Holdings for its television business, but no final agreement has been reached yet. Sony is proceeding with its plan to launch a new mid-range 4K TV and several home theater audio products on Wednesday. The new 43-inch TV is priced starting at USD600, while the 100-inch model is priced at USD3,100. Sony is also releasing two soundbars, the Bravia Theater Bar 7 priced at USD870 and the Bravia Theater Bar 5 priced at USD350. Earlier this week, foreign media reported that negotiations between Sony and TCL have made progress, and a deal may be announced this month. If the deal is finalized, the joint venture is expected to begin operations in 2027, with Sony planning to launch more new products later this spring.
