HSI Vaults Above 26,000 Mark After Midday; BABA-W Spikes ~4% as Alibaba Cloud Announces AI Computing Power & Storage Product Price Hikes

It last printed at 26,061, up 192 points or nearly 0.8%, with a turnover of HKD143.204 billion. BABA-W (09988.HK) opened this morning lower by less than 0.2%, but it bounced back after midday. It last traded at HKD139.9, up 3.94%, with a volume of 62.5336 million shares, involving HKD8.506 billion. As the procurement costs of core industry hardware have been spiked by the global AI demand surge and rising supply chain costs, Alibaba Cloud announced at noon its decision to adjust the prices of services such as AI computing power and Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) for Lingjun.
