HSBC HOLDINGS Reportedly Plans to Issue AT1 to Raise at Least USD1B
2026-03-17 18:18:24 HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) is issuing the first major-currency Additional Tier 1 (AT1) capital bonds since the outbreak of the Iran conflict at the end of February, reopening this high-risk segment of the credit market, Bloomberg reported, citing sources. The bank is pursuing to raise at least USD1 billion through the issuance of two perpetual notes, which are first callable in 5.5 years and 10 years, respectively, sources divulged.
