COSCO SHIPPING Halts New Booking Services on Some Routes as Middle East Conflict Flares Up

COSCO SHIPPING announced today (4th) a service update regarding the situation in the Middle East.

Due to the ongoing escalation of conflicts in the Middle East region, maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is subject to corresponding restrictions. To ensure the maximum safety of customer cargo transportation and the overall stability of operations, COSCO SHIPPING has decided to suspend all new booking services on related routes based on the latest risk assessment by COSCO SHIPPING Lines, effective immediately until further notice.

The scope of affected services: all new booking services from global locations to the UAE (excluding Fujairah and Khor Fakkan), Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia (excluding Jeddah), and Kuwait.
