Alibaba's Qwen Model Leader Junyang Lin Abruptly Announces Departure, Rumored to Be Involuntary

Lin is reportedly one of the most influential figures in Alibaba's transition to AI. Besides Lin, two other technical experts from the Qwen model team are also leaving. They are Binyuan Hui, a related person in charge of the Qwen team, and Kaixin Li, a core contributor to the Qwen 3.5 series, Qwen VL, and Coder series. All of their posts mentioned Lin's departure as their resignation reason.
