Int'l Oil Prices Up 5%+; Israel Says It's Intercepting Iranian Missiles, while Iran Says ~790 Iranians Killed
2026-03-03 18:03:25 The US and Israel continue to wage war against Iran. Today (3rd), the Israel Defense Forces reported that Iran has launched a new round of missiles towards Israel. The Israeli military's air defense system is intercepting the Iranian missiles. Iranian media, citing an announcement from the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRCS), reported today that 787 Iranians have been killed in the attacks by the US and Israel. The US has ordered non-emergency government personnel and their families to leave Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, and Jordan, and has closed several diplomatic embassies in the region. Iran has completely blocked the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a spike in international oil prices. During electronic trading hours, New York oil futures for April delivery last leaped 5.2%, at USD74.94 per barrel.
