Chinese insurers CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK), PICC GROUP (01339.HK) and CPIC (02601.HK) stumbled 3.4-4.3%, while CHINA LIFE (02628.HK) eroded 5% to close at $32.64. Gold prices fell below US$5,000 per ounce overnight, dragging down SD GOLD (01787.HK), CHINAGOLDINTL (02099.HK), ZIJIN GOLD INTL (02259.HK) and LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK) by 3.6-4.2%. ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) shrank 5.2%. Jewelry retailer LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) cratered 5.3%, while LUK FOOK HOLD (00590.HK) and CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK) slumped 3.2% and 3%. Commodities stock JIANGXI COPPER (00358.HK) receded 3.1%, while MMG (01208.HK) and CMOC (03993.HK) slumped 4.4% and 4.5%. AI large model stocks continued to rally. MINIMAX-WP (00100.HK) rallied 9.4% on the launch of its latest flagship programming model, MiniMax M2.5. KNOWLEDGE ATLAS (02513.HK) surged 11.9%.
