CN Commercial Banks' NPL Ratio Drops to 1.5% in 4Q25

For the entire year of 2025, commercial banks achieved a cumulative net profit of RMB2.4 trillion. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, the average return on capital was 7.78%, and the average return on assets was 0.6%. The non-performing loan (NPL) balance of commercial banks was RMB3.5 trillion, down RMB24.1 billion from the end of the previous quarter.
